My research interests focus primarily on:

  • Data Privacy, assurance, and cybersecurity.
  • Efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of large-scale data sets.
  • Intelligent systems, smart storage, application and user-aware file systems and storage management.
  • Fault tolerance, reliability and dependability analysis.
  • Large-scale storage systems, high performance computing systems, distributed systems.
  • Systems modeling, dependence relationships, rare event simulation, modeling theory, queuing systems, process calculi.
  • Stochastic modeling of biochemical systems, stochastic optimization of gene networks, mathematical modeling of agricultural systems.

I graduated with a Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2011.
